We all know that glucose, or blood sugar, is the body’s principal fuel source to produce energy. But aside from this main function, glucose also plays an important role in regulating our appetite.
The level of blood glucose in the body is a contributing factor in appetite regulation when it influences the brain to tell the body whether it’s hungry or not. This is one of the reasons why one of the symptoms of individuals who have problems with their blood glucose levels is weight-gain.
